Our Story

How it all started

Here you will find lots of information about our BBQ catering services, our food, our story and some of our clients. We are a family owned BBQ catering company and serve some of the best BBQ you will ever have. This is true competition quality BBQ and we have received multiple “Perfect 9″s” from certified KCBS judges. All of the recipes are homemade and every serving is prepared from scratch. So what’s different about Jar-Ja-Q? Well, in short, it’s the ‘love’ we put into the food. Each piece of meat is carefully prepared and smoked until it is ready. The one thing a lot of people don’t realize is that every piece of meat is a little different. A 10 pound ‘butt’ is going to cook a little different than a 9.5 pound butt. Chicken breasts and ribs are different sizes so each of those cook a little different. Understanding the nuances in the science behind cooking is critical in delivering a high quality product every time. The same care is taken with each side dish as well. Every side recipe is homemade and ingredients for each batch are carefully measured to ensure the exact same flavor every single time.
